About Us

Elm Tree Farms is a fifth generation family farm, owned and operated by Glenn and Pamela Wotten with daughters Mariah and Sophie. Located in southern Ontario, our cattle operation started out as a commercial cow/calf herd of over 100 cows. The purchase of our first Fleckvieh Simmental bull from D. Maronda Simmentals in 1993 formed a strong Simmental influence cow base in the herd, which has continued to expand and become the focus of our operation today. 

Our herd consists of 40 Fleckvieh and Fleckvieh influence females. We strive to improve the herd with each passing year, and the incorporation of artificial insemination along with embryo transfer has enabled us to utilize our strongest cow families to their fullest potential. We like our cattle to combine performance and natural thickness with a moderate frame size, touch of style, and correct feet and legs.
